Classically Renovated

During this renovation, respect for the fabric of the neighborhood and the integrity of this stately two-story home was the goal of the team, while updating features of the existing structure to improve functionality of space. This was obtained by deconstructing and reintegrating various components of the original infrastructure, resulting in a more energy efficient and secure home. One example of this was through recessing an existing load bearing beam in order to capture an open floor plan with unobstructed views. An oversized island was added to the kitchen, allowing homeowners a more engaging and usable space to entertain guests. Along with structural changes, existing hardwood floors were refinished to give a uniform and fresh look. The exterior of the home was modernized through the updating of landscape and exterior finishes while preserving the original stone and wood details. Desired updates of the homeowner were achieved while remaining consistent to the style of this classic home.
